European Low -Cost carriers are a fantastic way to fly. The US doesn’t have true Ultra Low Cost Carriers no matter how hard they are trying to convince you otherwise (please see my yesterday FTG post about Frontier Airlines). But European airlines, such as Ryan Air and easyJet can truly save you hundreds of dollars making it sometimes cheaper (after taxes and fees) than redeeming miles, but only if you do your research first.
