IHG PointBreaks are offered in 3 tiers: from 5,000 to 15,000 points per night.

No, there are no gems, and there probably won’t be any gems in any upcoming IHG PointBreaks — ever! So if you keep coming back for gems whining why there are no gems (as I have admittedly done many times before), then you should stop torturing yourselves.
I’m not excited by this list at all, so there won’t be any pictures or long descriptions. I just don’t feel like pouring too much time into this.
Remember, though, that you can often buy IHG points at $0.05 each. If you have the old $49 IHG card, you get additional 10% point rebate, which makes it $0.045. And if you have the new IHG card you get the 4th night free (if you find a hotel where you want to spend 4 nights, that is).
Some of these deals look appealing to me. Not mind-blowing, but appealing. Although, I haven’t found any semi-decent IHG PointBreak hotels in the 5,000 tier (there are a few locations in China I don’t know anything about).
However, the 10,000 points tier has a few decent choices
Most of these hotels average around $100 per night, except for the Holiday Inn London – Groydon; that one can go for around 130 pounds.
GERMANY
Holiday Inn Express Dresden City Centre
POLAND
Holiday Inn Warsaw City Centre
If you are going to Europe, these are central hotels in 2 great European cities.
UNITED KINGDOM
Holiday Inn Express London – Croydon
This one is also a central hotel — in Groydon that is, but a train can take you to Central London in 20 minutes (or so they claim).
JORDAN
Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea
Much cheaper than a comparable hotel in Israel.
SOUTH AFRICA
Crowne Plaza Johannesburg – The Rosebank
Excellent location!
PHILIPPINES
Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria
I don’t like Manila, but hotels can be expensive there, so if you need an overnight stay…
The 15,000 IHG PointBreak Hotels tier has a few decent choices, as well!
IHG PointBreaks Hotels: the U.S.
We are in the middle of summer, so call me crazy, but I believe some of these are worth considering. The Indigo Orange Beach is very close to what you can call a gem — a beautiful new beachfront hotel that can cost as much as $300 in season.

Again, these hotels are not incredible bargains, but try to think of them as $100 hotels in really good locations, which will cost you even less with a right credit card. Would you book any of them for $100 or less? I think, I would.
Anyway, what do you think? Have you found at least 1 IHG PointBreaks hotel you’d like to book?
