AMEX SPG 25000
Just a short note that the personal AMEX SPG card has lowered its spend requirement from $5,000 to $3,000 in 6 months. If it wasn’t a no-brainer before (although it was), it is definitely a no-brainer now!
SPG is the only hotel program that has absolutely unreal balance transfer rates to airlines—1:1 (even 1:1.25 when you transfer more than 20,000 points). However, I personally find SPG points so valuable that I only transfer them in an emergency—I recently transferred SPG points when I needed to top off my AA balance in order to book Business Class tickets to Paris (that couldn’t wait!).
Unfortunately, the AMEX SPG 25000 business card offer remains the same: $5,000 in 6 months. In addition, all of us who have already gotten the bonus with the personal card won’t qualify for a new one, unfortunately. But to everyone else:
